The underdog Nate Diaz shocked the world when he beat Conor McGregor at UFC 196. Fighting on only 11 days' notice after Rafael dos Anjos' withdrawal from the match, Diaz submitted McGregor with a rear-naked choke in the second round. Now, hoping to regain his glory, the Irishman is set to fight a rematch with Diaz at UFC 200 on July 9th in Las Vegas.
According to UFC president Dana White, McGregor was "obsessed" with fighting Diaz again, Fox reported. McGregor will once again move up to the 170-pound welterweight class to meet his opponent.
But it wont stop there for McGregor. Regardless of the outcome against Diaz, McGregor will be expected to defend his 145-pound featherweight title against the winner of Frankie Edgar vs. Jose Aldo, the interim 145-pound title match also taking place at UFC 200.
