Real Life Hero
Hugh Jackman helped rescue swimmers in Australia.

He's already a hero on the big screen, but now former MEN'S FITNESS cover guy Hugh Jackman is a hero in real life. Saturday was a big day at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia— rough waters resulted in intense riptides, reports CNN. Enter: Jackman. The 47-year-old helped his son Oscar and others swim to safety. Check out it in the video above from Australia's Nine News.

WELL DONE to Patrol 13 captained by Rosie Taliano & Tom Bunting this afternoon who completed 43 rescues in total with only a limited 12 patrolling members rostered on. There were also 3 rescues in the morning completed by Patrol 10. A big THANK YOU to Waverley Duty Officers, @brontesurfclub, @bondisblsc, @bondilifeguards and @surfrescue30 for your extra assistance. The beach had to be closed due to dangerous conditions, multiple rescues happening all at once and limited resources. @thehughjackman was also spotted assisting with rescues! Thanks Hugh #mysurflife #northbondislsc #northbondi #surflifesaving #rescues #bondibeach #bondi #beach #easter #saturday #bondislsc #bronteslsc #bronte #irb #surfrescue30 #hughjackman

We're guessing he was wearing sunscreen out there since the actor recently urged his Instagram fans to lather up after he was treated for skin cancer for the fourth time. (Check out these great sunscreens for men.)

You can find out how to train like Hugh Jackman here so maybe you can be a real-life super hero, too.
