Ashley Graham, an American model who has risen to stardom for her lengerie ads and runway shows, will appear as a model in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016 the magazine announced Tuesday.
"Thank you to everyone who stood up for curves," Graham wrote in an Instagram post about her casting.
Best known for her ads for lengerie brand Lane Bryant—as well as her own lengerie designs—Graham has a passionate social media following (1 million on Instagram alone) and has rallied like-minded women around maxims like #beautybeyondsize.

SI will announce the other four rookies in the coming days—the issue drops next week—but we know at least one other woman who is set to appear alongside her: Ronda Rousey, who will reportedly "wear" nothing but body paint in her return to the Swimsuit Issue.
Graham did appear in the 2015 issue—not as an editorial choice, but in an advertisement. She'll also appear in an advertisement for the brand Swimsuits for All in the 2016 issue, she announced on her Instagram page.
