All My Kingdom for a Burrito: As Americans (especially Americans in the Carolinas) recover from a nationwide hangover, they are slowly awakening to an even worse headache: Chipotle closed the doors of all 1,900 of its restaurants nationwide until 3 p.m. today for a company-wide meeting about food safety. It's part of the company's latest effort to improve its food prep practices in the wake of outbreaks of foodborne illnesses at several of its restaurants. "We’ll be reopening today, Feb. 8th, at 3pm (local time) after our company-wide meeting," the company said on its website. "Hope to see you then."
(And Chipotle is based in Denver! You'd think they'd be handing out burritos for free in the streets of the Mile-High City!)
