The Rock Returns
Dwayne Johnson made a special appearance on RAW.

Layeth the Smack Down: On the same day that he announced his mega-partnership with Under Armour, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made a special homecoming to WWE Monday Night Raw in Miami, where he and talked down three dudes wearing matching red tracksuits and unicorn headbands. That is a real sentence.

Steph Doing Steph: Monday night's Spurs-Warriors game was billed as a clash of titans, both on the macro scale—each team is a juggernaut right now—and in the matchup between the Spurs' Kawhi Leonard, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and Stephen Curry, the reigning NBA MVP. Then Curry did his thing. And the Warriors won by 30. [Sports Illustrated]

NBA Season High: Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins racked up 56 points in Monday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets...and the Kings still lost.

Nerd vs. Rapper: We learned two things today: Apparently B.o.B. is a believer in conspiracy theories, notably the argument that the earth is actually flat. (Just to avoid any confusion: It's not.) Secondly, because this wasn't weird enough, B.o.B. released a song ("Flatline") that literally calls out noted astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, thereby sparking a Twitter skirmish between them. In the words of Jesse Pinkman: "Science, bitch!" [Nerdist]

Haters Gonna Hate: An angry fan of the Seattle Seahawks (who lost to the Carolina Panthers this weekend in the NFC championship) has clearly had enough of Cam Newton celebrating touchdowns in CenturyLink Field, because he has started circulating a petition to ban the Panthers QB from the stadium. Guess Newton's new ad for Beats headphones wasn't clear enough regarding the whole "no Band-Aids for feelings" thing. [FOX Sports]

New Era, New Ambassador: Swimsuit model Nina Agdal has signed on with cap-maker New Era to become the brand's first female ambassador, which sort of makes us wonder why more sportswear brands haven't signed swimsuit models to hawk their wares. 2016: The year of astrophysicists and swimsuit models.

Get High: It seems that your risk for lung cancer decreases as you live at higher altitudes—but it's hard to explain why, unless you blame oxygen. [New York Times]
