So Vegetarians Aren't Weak?: Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't exactly known for embracing a plant-only diet. (There's a scene in Escape Plan where his character taunts Sly Stallone's character by saying "you hit like a vegetarian!"). But the former California governor is changing with the times, and he made waves by suggesting that people go meat-free a few days a week to help reduce the effects of cattle-raising on climate change. "It's a very big challenge but it doesn't mean it shouldn't be done," he told the BBC from Paris. "I have seen many body-builders and (weight) lifters that are vegetarians." [BBC News]
Breathe Easy: The newly released worldwide air map, created by Plume Labs, shows you where air pollution is minimal (looking good, Kansas City!) and downright hazardous (yikes, New Delhi). The map tracks hourly changes in air pollution and advises athletes when it's better to run, cycle, or even just eat outside, making it easier for people with asthma and respiratory problems to plan for the freshest air in their area. Still Not a Zombie: Former Men's Fitnesscover guy and Walking Dead superstar Norman Reedus (a.k.a. Daryl Dixon) survived an encounter with a real-life carnivore this weekend, when an overexcited fan attempted to take a bite out of his chest during a meet-and-greet at the Walker Stalker con in New Jersey. As security officers removed the woman from the convention, they reportedly told her, “Um, ma'am, you just bit Norman Reedus.” [Yahoo!]

Another Knock Against Vaping: There's still no clear scientific consensus on the use of e-cigarettes. Some authorities say they're almost 100% better than smoking, while other evidence suggests they may make you crave smoking more. But there's reason to be wary of flavored e-cigs and refill fluids: They contain diacetyl, a flavoring chemical linked to a debilitating, incurable disease called "popcorn lung," according to a new study from Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health. [Harvard Gazette]
Organic vs. Non-GMO: Food companies are jockeying for control of the booming health food industry, especially now that foods labeled as "non-GMO" are flying off store shelves, even though "organic" foods are held to a non-GMO standard as well as other stringent production standards. Anyway: Oreos, anybody? [WSJ]
"The Biggest Fight of His Life": UFC brawler Conor McGregor, the fiery Irishman with a tongue to match the fury of his fists, talked with the Wall Street Journal about his upcoming UFC 194 matchup with Jose Aldo.
Speaking of Fury: The outspoken British fighter Tyson Fury, 27, was stripped of his IBF boxing title because of a conctractual snafu just a few days after claiming it from former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Fury will retain his WBA and WBO belts, but is set to face off against Klitschko again in a rematch. [BBC Sport]
