500-Lb Squat
Watch Alabama's Derrick Henry put up some huge numbers.

Happy Halloween Eve, dudes. Whether you're making the most of the costume-centric party scene or running the New York Marathon this weekend—or both!—here's some cool stuff from around the web to start your weekend off right.

500-Lb Squat: Okay, yes, there are powerlifters who have broken the half-ton mark in the squat. But Alabama's Derrick Henry just squatted 500 pounds, and the Crimson Tide running back runs a 4.50 in the 40-yard dash. How many powerlifters can do that?

Snow Day!: Speaking of athletic freaks of nature, Nike just debuted its new commercial, titled "Snow Day," featuring (in order of appearance): Rob Gronkowski, Ndamukong Suh, LeSean McCoy, Luke Kuechly, Odell Beckham Jr., Ben Roethlisberger, Paul George, Paula Findlay, Antonio Brown, Marlen Esparza, Eric Weddle, Lauren Fisher, Marcus Mariota, Sydney Leroux, Le’Veon Bell, Draymond Green, Eugenie Bouchard, Steven Stamkos, Elena Delle Donne, A. J. Green, and Carli Lloyd.

We Hate to Say It, But: You probably have herpes. About two out of every three people on Earth—about 3.7 billion—have the herpes simplex virus type-1, the World Health Organization says. The good news? Type 1 typically doesn't cause much more than cold sores around your mouth. (It's the type-2 that is sexually transmitted through skin-to-skin contact.) [NBC News]

There Are Some Nasty Germs in That Beard: Will Forte (he of SNL and Last Man on Earth fame) stopped by The Tonight Show Thursday night to test his beard for bacteria. Jon Hamm and Rachel Dratch were nice enough to stop by for moral support.

And Now for Something Completely Different: What happens when you show a front-facing camera to a bunch of owls at an "owl cafe" (yes, they exist) in Japan? This video is what happens.

This is what happens when you show a couple of owls your front facing camera. We are at the Hirosaki Owl Cafe in Hirosaki, Aomori, Japan.
