Ray Rice has been quietly training for a comeback.

Ray Rice has been quietly training for a potential comeback. In this exclusive video, he works out with Jay Caldwell—a technique coach who promotes Total Body Recognition training—at Kinetic Sports Club in Pelham Manor, NY. On this particular day, Ray focused on "the stop-and-go" with football-specific drills, bookending his workout with challenging core exercises.

WARM-UPS (20 minutes)
Spider-Mans (chest 2 inches from the ground and crawling forward), Hip-flexor drills (stretches and knee drives with resistance bands around the knees), Inchworms with Pushups

LADDER DRILLS
"The program consists of the functionality of football," Caldwell says. "Getting through a hole, breaking out inth the open field, beating a safety to the punch. We make sure the footwork is fast, clean, and precise."

FOOTWORK DRILLS
Caldwell incorporates speed cones and speed bands, which makes the drills six times harder. "Ray works harder through the resistance, and when we remove the bands, he does the same drills with the same amount of effort and technique."

RUNNING WITH RESISTANCE
"This is where the big boys come out," Caldwell says. "Power bands make it 10 times harder."
