The 30-Second Body
A roadmap to a lean, shredded body.
Forget heavy weights, dangerous exercises, and spending countless hours in the gym pounding away at your joints. Body-weight exercise wasn't just ranked as the number one fitness trend in 2015 for no reason. It can be viciously effective, and much easier on the body. But how? Adam Rosante, trainer, fitness personality, and author of the new book, The 30-Second Body breaks down the details in less time than you can bang out a couple burpees.
What is The 30-Second Body concept?
"A series of bodyweight moves stacked into 30-second high-intensity intervals. You perform each move back-to-back, resting only when absolutely needed. Each round in each workout progressively overloads the body with additional moves. Coupled with the fact that you're going for time, not reps, plateaus are much harder to reach as your body is consistently working to its max capacity."
How did you come up with it?
"I'm always looking for ways to remove barriers of entry and help people get their best bodies as fast and safely as possible. Marrying the best practices of HIIT with progressive overload and compound bodyweight movements was a great way to do that."
How is The 30-Second Body concept different from other programs and books?
"It's written in three parts: a 6-week fitness program that's relentless, but totally doable; a nutrition chapter that teaches you how to eat to lean out, because as I always say, you can't out-train a bad diet; and a self-development chapter that helps you overcome years of shitty mental conditioning and build champion habits. This is arguably the most important part of the book because let's face it, if all you needed to get in great shape was fitness info, anyone with access to the internet would be in great shape. This chapter helps you rewire your mind so that you can do the work that needs to be done."
What people can expect to find in the book.
"A plug and play roadmap to a lean, shredded body with no BS. I'm not going to sugar coat it. The program is hard and requires work on your part. Just buying it isn't going to give you a 6-pack through osmosis. But I promise, if you get off your butt and put in the effort, you will get jaw-dropping results."
