LA Clipper, DeAndre Jordan forgot how to play basketball last night, after his chance to be the hero, seriously backfired.
With seconds remaining in the game against the Portland Trail Blazers, it was tied at 87 all. After Chris Paul missed the short runner, Jordan reached up for the rebound, but instead of netting an easy layup he stopped playing (yes, you read that right, he stopped playing) and just held the ball after hearing the shot clock buzzer. Talk about rookie mistake. Don’t believe us? See for yourself.
Although, we don’t know what’s funnier, the play itself, or Paul jumping up and down next to Jordan screaming, "SHOOT THE BALL".
The tragic hiccup only got worse when the Clippers fell 98-93 in OT.
Sure, we can look back and get a laugh, but it may be too soon to bring it up to Jordan and Paul. But the first thing we learn in sports is that the game isn’t over until it’s over. Sorry, Jordan. That one is over.
